Today's polish is one of the OPI nail polishes from the Designer Series in the colour Glow. Glow is a nice shimmery reddish gold with a bit of silver and yellow gold shimmer in it. Bit hard to describe, but still very beautiful colour.
Jasmin vs the World
Not sure what I'm gonna talk about yet, but it will probably have to do with Make Up, some techie stuff and whatever else life throws at us.

Nail Polish of the Day - P2 - 541 night out
Today's nail polish of the day is sponsored by P2, a german drugstore brand that I really love. The polishes are super pigmented, easy to apply and come in so many beautiful shades.
541 Night out is a very pretty greyish dark blue.
Here is a pictures of it with flash, but the actual colour is more like the one in the second picture (no flash)

Sleek - The Berry Collection - Christmas Collection
A few days ago I gave in to the tempation (after reading a lot about it) and got myself the Sleek - The Berry Collection palette. It has a nice packaging, very Christmassy. I just wish Superdrug wouldn't place their barcode-don't-steal-me-sticker on it that obvious. Not very clever for something that would make a perfect Christmas gift.
The products you get are (left to right):
A matte Lipstick in the Colour Cranberry, a Blush in the colour Fenberry and a Kohl Pencil in the colour Mossberry.
Here are some swatches:
No Flash (left to right): Blush, Lipstick, Kohl Pencil
With Flash:
with Blush blended
I really like the Kohl Pencil. Such a beautiful berry colour. The lipstick is very pretty too, perfect for the holidays and the colour is to die for. I also like the fact that the lipstick has a matte finish (although you can't really tell due to the flash making it look shiny). The only thing I'm a little dissapointed with is the blush. Don't get me wrong, I like the colour and the payoff, I just expected something more in the same colour range (berry-ish) as the other products. I think they should have included something less red-brown-ish and more red-purple-ish... if you know what I mean.
But I think it's a nice collection and def a bargain for what you get.

Nail Polish of the Day - Catrice - In The Bronx
Today I'm wearing Catrice - In the Bronx, a beautiful shimmery bronze. Application is very smooth and the brush has a nice size. I used 2 coats.
With Flash:
Without Flash:
I love the colour, but one thing that is strange (and I think that might be a thing with shimmery polishes in general, cause I've noticed it in the past): It seems like the polish is shrinking while it dries, cause sometimes the polish doesn't line up exactly with the end of the nail, although I painted it the whole way. It's only noticeable when you look at it up close, but that's enough to annoy me a bit.

Nail Polish of the Day - Orly - Rage & Konad m60 pattern
Today's nail polish is Orly Rage. Above I took a picture without flash (but unnatural light, cause it's dark outside), which shows the actual colour a bit better. Below is the picture with flash. Rage is a beautiful white gold. Unfortunately I find it too light for my pale skin and I thought it looked a bit boring on it's own, so I decided to pimp it with my Konad m60 plate.
Here is the polish with Konad pattern.
Drugstore Shopping in Germany - Essence
As mentioned in my last posts I went on a crazy Drugstore shopping spree while in Germany. I got some great stuff from P2, Catrice and Essence. All three have awesome products, great quality and are very very affordable.
I love the Essence Nail Polishes and this time didn't dissapoint either. I also got the Essence Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette.
Let's start with the nail polishes. First items I got are the Nail Art - freestyle & tip painter in the colours (left to right): 12 metallic champagne, 03 silver surver, 11 grape-metallic rocks! and 09 mysterious black. I didn't get a chance to test them yet, but they have a very fine tip and thin brush to allow for detailed nail art work.
I also got some regular color & go nail polishes in the colours (left to right) 85 galactic black, 68 high spirits and 33 just in case and one from the Vampire's Love collection in the colour 01 Gold Old Buffy
Swatched (left to right) galactic black, Just in Case, high spirits & Gold Old Buffy:
Essence also added magnetized nail polishes to their collection and I decided to give them a try. They were only €2.49 after all... can't beat that, right?:-) You have to buy the magnet seperatly, but I didn't buy it, cause I decided to use the one from my 17 nail polish.
The colours I got are (left to right): 04 mystic wish!, 02 hex, hex! and 03 magic wand!
Swatched with and without flash (left to right): magic wand!, mystic wish! and hex, hex!:
The effect is not crazy strong, but I didn't hold the magnet over it for too long and I used only one coat, so I suspect you can get it stronger if you want.
Last, but not least, I came across a very pretty Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette, which totally reminds me of the Urban Decay palette styles. You get 12 eyeshadows, 2 eyelinersand 2 brushes (one domed eyeshadow brush and one angled eyeliner brush). All that for €9.99. Pretty impressive. The shadows have a good colour payoff and the selection is really nice. Not too over the top. It has a mirror inside, but strangly the colours don't seem to have any names.
Therefore I'll show the swatches by row.
Here are the swatches. First, left row from top to bottom:
Second row, top to bottom:
Third row to to bottom:
All colours are shimmery apart from the second from the left in the third row swatches.
Eyeliners swatched:
I think it's nice that they included brown and grey as eyeliner colours, cause most people probably have a black already it seems like teh palette is designed for more subtle looks anyway (besides the purple colours probably).
All in all, I'm very impressed again by the quality of the nail polishes and eyeshadows, especially regarding the price.

Drugstore Shopping in Germany - Catrice
As mentioned in my last blog post, I went a little Shopping Crazy during my visit home to Germany.
Catrice is another one of those companies that offer amazing products for great prices in German Drugstores like Ihr Platz and DM. I just checked their website and saw that you can buy their products in Austria and Switzerland as well.
I tried several of their products so far (nail polishes, lip glosses, eye shadows, blushes) and I have to say that I was always very impressed. I'm asolutely in love with their nail polishes (you will know by now that I am obsessed with nail polishes) and their eye shadows are awesome too... very pigmented, beautiful colours. The few other prodcts I tested never let me down either.
This time I only got nail polished, cause I bought so many eye shadows and palettes lately that I really didn't need any more. Although, I probably didn't need more nail polishes either... ah well.
Here are the shades I got. I had to split the swatches, so I will show them in 3 parts.
Colours are from the left: I'm a star... (greenish gold), Sir, Yes Sir! (army green), In the Bronx (coppery gold (so beautiful)) and Grey's Kelly.
Swatched (2 coats, apart from the one on the right, cause I forgot to put a second one on:-)):
Next, we have 2 beautiful girly colours: Let's Mauve on! (light rose metallic) and Lovely Sinner (pink, that looks red in the bottle, with tons of bright red shimmer)
Swatched (Lovely Sinner left, Let's Mauve on! right):
And last but not least 2 darker, but nonetheless beautiful, shades. Plum Play With Me (left), I Wear My Sunglasses At Night (right):
Swatched:
I really love those nail polishes. The colours and especially the names are just great. Unfortunately the Lovely Sinner doesn't show up on camera as awesome as it is on the nails, but you will just have to imagine it's beauty. If Catrice is available to you, I'd totally encourage you to go and get some nail polishes or eye shadows or whatever other beauty product your heart desires. I'm a Big Fan!
