Drugstore Shopping in Germany - P2 Cosmetics

During my holiday at home in Germany I spend a serious amount of time in several drugstores shopping for stuff... mainly nail polish. I am obsessed after all:-)

German Drugstores like DM, Ihr Platz and Rossmann stock some amazing products from companies like Catrice, P2 and Essence. All three are my favorites for nail polishes, cause they are super pigmented and dirt cheap (and I don't mean quality wise, but price-wise).

I will create different blog entries for all three companies and will start with P2.

I bought 8 nail polishes, some Kajals and Metallic Eye Pencils. First, let's take a look at the beautiful nail polishes. The colours from left to right are: Freeze (shimmery white), So Cool (metallic blue), Night Out (dark grey/blue), Can't get enough! (dark red), Dating Time (full on red) and Lucky (green).

Here are the shades swatched (Freeze, So Cool, Night Out, Lucky, Can't get enough! and Dating Time):

The quality is amazing. For some colours you could even get away with using one coat. The swatches above have 2 coats though. I love their colour range and I find new amazing colours whenever I go to Germany. These nail polishes are €1.55 each... do I need to say more?

I also got 2 of their crackling nail polishes, cause the colours looked so nice, but I didn't think about it enough, cause they would actually look nice as a top coat or nail polish, but not so much as a crackle polish, cause they just look really bad cracked.

The colours I got are violet fusion and red volcano:

Here are they swatched (used Freeze as a base):

The left one (red volcano) looks like you have rusty nails (not a look I aspire) and the right one (violet fusion) is very thin and doesn't crackle very nice. It may look nicer over a darker base.. who knows. I will have to test it some more. But I'm a bit dissapointed with them, cause the surface is so rough... like sand paper. But then, they were pretty cheap, so I won't cry myself to sleep:-)

P2 continuesly add new products to their range (e.g. Lipsticks, Lip Glosses, Liners etc.). I haven't really tried much of their other stuff yet, but this time I decided to get some of their other products.

I had my eye on some of the Urban Decay Glide on Pencils for a while, but they are soo annoyingly expensive that I hesitated to actually get them. I saw that P2 has a similar thing, called Metallic Style Eye Pencil. I decided I have to try them. I can't really compare them to Urban Decay though, cause I never used them. But I liked the swatches so far. I got it in 4 colours (think they only had 6 in total). The colours I got are 050 - catwalk style (dark brown), 010 - stage beauty (purple), 040 - standing ovation (green) and 060 - designer's best (silver):

Swatched (with flash):

I also got 2 of their Perfect Look Kajals in 030 bronze and 080 lilac and Intensive Khol Eyeliners in 090 Stylish Great Britain (grey) and 030 Crazy Brazil (green):
